Greetings everyone. And welcome to Mighty Line Minute! Today, we're talking about innovation again. We often think about what's new, what's different. What's something that's technologically advanced. Things that bring the future to the present. That can also mean industrial products, such as Mighty Line floor tape, innovative floor signs, or scan code protection.
Innovation, however, can mean something new, different, or exciting from ideas that arose in the past. Some things that have been created in the past are simply that good. That which is timeless can often be re-imagined or re-created into an even better form or more exciting product.
Clevelanders Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster created their Superman character back in 1933, over 90 years ago. Five years later, Superman was sold to Detective Comics, later known as DC Comics for $130. Another 45 years later, Siegel and Shuster received further credit for their innovative character and story as a superhero that does good things for the world. And this week, a new film about Superman, directed by James Gunn, is being filmed right here in Cleveland, Ohio. Let's go there.
There it is, folks. We're coming into Cleveland right now. You want to keep your eyes up in the sky because you don't know what's going to be flying over.
So, the story begins, in 1933, Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster came up with an idea. They came up with this idea for a man that could fly and have incredible powers.
We're going behind the scenes into a little known garage where the film crew parks. So, we're gonna keep this hush-hush. Film crew only. We're here early. Behind the scenes. Superman.
The new Superman film is being produced by DC Studios and is expected to be distributed in July of 2025 by Warner Brothers.
James Gunn is the writer and the director. The film stars David Corenswet as Clark Kent in Superman, with Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane. Superman is expected to be of age 25 for the film.
Filming began in February in beautiful Svalbard, Norway, and now for 37 days in Cleveland and Cincinnati, Ohio.
Final filming and production will be in Atlanta and Macon, Georgia.
