Greetings everyone, and welcome to another edition of Mighty Line Minute! We're here at the 2025 National Fire Protection Association Exposition and Conference. We're gonna hear today from Matt with Mighty Line directly. It's his first show, first time to Vegas, and we're gonna see what he's learned by being here for just a few days.
How are you doing there, Matt?
I'm good. How are you doing?
Great. Glad to have you at the show here in Las Vegas, your first NFPA, National Fire Protection Association Conference and Expo. And, you met a lot of interesting people here over these two to three days. What's your general impression of this Conference? What have you learned?
So far it's been a great time, honestly. I've met a lot of interesting people, especially the Viking people. They're currently developing like a 3D model for VR-like training. And I got to check that out. It was really cool. I got to talk to the manager of the project.
The virtual reality that they're using for educating maintenance folks and installers of fire protection systems, right?
Yeah. Yeah. And like valves, stuff like that. Pipes, anything you could think of.
Yeah, that was a memorable project. They've been working on that for several years. They only provide training now, virtually, through a gaming application.
Yeah. Yeah, it's through Steam. And I honestly, I think that's pretty cool because it's free for anybody. Anybody could just download Steam and go check it out if they have a VR headset and they could learn more about it, no strings attached.
Well, we'll put the information out there for folks so they can learn a little bit more about Viking and what they're doing with virtual reality. So, you recently spoke with a firefighter. What advice did he have for you career-wise?
He told me to, he said that I should take no moment for granted. You know, it's gonna fly fast and, you know, just appreciate my time being here and focus on my career. Don't focus on all like the riff-raff. Stay focused and just try to learn as much as you can.
Well, that sounds like good career advice. So, has this opened your eyes to any new career opportunities with ShieldMark Mighty Line and how you could help the company itself?
Absolutely. I mean, you know, I've been trying to learn as much as I can while I've been working here. Currently I do warehouse work, but I'd like to see if I can expand, you know, maybe into sales or anywhere else. You know, this is my first trade show, but I've been having a great time. I feel like I've been doing a pretty good job talking to people. You know, it's definitely something that I would look forward to keep doing.
Well, you've done a great job. You've handled yourself quite well here on the sales floor, and you've been getting some good leads for us here at ShieldMark Mighty Line. Of course, everyone seems to know about the company, its product, and better than everything else out there. So, Matt, good talking to you today. We gotta run back to the booth and start doing a little sales!
Yep, sounds good. I'll see you there!
Okay, take care.
Bye!
