Well, folks. Today marks the 100th episode of my podcast Mighty Line Minute! First, I want to give a big shout out to all fans and listeners for their support. And for helping me bring you safety, business and entertainment information that you need to know! Today, I want to share one lesson I've learned throughout my career, something I consider both timeless and essential to every one of us.
That lesson is what we call, "our calling." When I asked my mother at a young age, " Why are we here?" She replied without hesitation, "To make the world a better place." Last evening I watched a news report about 25-year-old Max Jacob Arnett of Dover, Ohio. He tragically lost his life fighting in Ukraine on August 23rd. He felt a strong calling to serve a country whose people and way of life were under grave threat. And he chose to support its right to exist as a sovereign, democratic nation.
In hospitals and care facilities, I'm always impressed by those who care, and those who serve as providers that stand out. Those who feel a strong sense of mission... beyond just a paycheck.
The same is true for teachers, emergency responders, and all of those who foster health, safety, and sustainability programs, including employers in business leadership. Some who are driven by mission express it in many different ways. Some through religion, music, and in families by serving as teachers and role models to our youth.
Today, I want to thank and encourage, all of our listeners to seek out that inner calling that drives us to make the world a better place. Your mission may not yet be clear, but with so much wrong in the world, there is still important work to be done. You may not always realize how impactful your efforts and outreach truly are.
At times, your work may feel unrecognized or underappreciated. But keep going. What you do really does matter. You are helping build a better world, and not just for today, but for generations to come. And if you haven't fully discovered your calling yet, your contributions are already making a difference in ways that you may never even know.
Keep up the great work. Have a wonderful day. And I'll see you on the next edition of Mighty Line Minute. Take care.
